Painting and decorating your home can be a bit daunting if you haven’t painted before. So, we have put together a selection of FREE “How to videos” to help you conquer your next painting project.

The series of videos features Dave our master painter, who explains and demonstrates a variety of common painting tools and products to show exactly what you need and how to get the most out of them.

Topics covered in these videos include preparing to paint, planning, protection when painting, paint pots, brushes, mixers and pourers, paint rollers and patching and filling walls.

tester_pot_2Renovating your home? Here is a basic guide to the main types of paints available and where you would commonly use them.

For use around the home, paint is normally divided into two types – acrylic and enamel. The easiest way to remember the difference is acrylic paints wash up in water, and enamel requires turpentine for cleaning.

Both have advantages in different applications – acrylic paints dry faster, less messy clean-up, and are ideally suited for large broad wall areas inside and outside the home.
